The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced this year’s rollout of its own metaverse platform, the Global Collaboration Village. WEF President Klaus Schwab plans to leverage this Davos representation to enable people and leaders to meet in the virtual world and efficiently coordinate global collaborative efforts.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced the rollout of its own metaverse platform called Global Collaboration Village. A digital world designed to look like the physical city of Davos where organizations meet once a year will likely allow for more efficient collaboration among world leaders.

It extends the functionality of Teams, a popular business conferencing software, to allow users to appear as her 3D avatar.
