In the latest installment of the Kilq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and former World Champion Kevin Nash discusses his experiences filming WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures reality series. Check out his experience on set with Foley in the highlights below.
How he sold all his ring gear from his competitive days:
I got a call from the producer and he was like, ‘Hey, what’s leftover from the Ring Gear days? I said, “Nothing. I have nothing. He says, ‘Don’t you have anything?’ I said no. I sold singlets and pants. I got a pair of boots. I said I got a knee brace. Then when I looked around the house, I found the Oz pants I’m wearing in this photo. One of the production people there said, “Hey man. I know someone who has this. I said, ‘Conrad.’ he says no. He takes this name, like someone in Bill. So I tweet Conrad. I said, “Wow man, I gave you my Oz gimmick and you turned around and said [give the cloak away].’ Conrad is a nice guy. Conrad, as you can tell, he actually said, “Oh, I upset Nash.” So he said, “I’m in collection mode and I’m embarrassed. A day later, I wrote “Fuck you” in capital letters.
He told the show’s producers he didn’t want to film in his home, so they got an air BnB, says:
So they take me out. I don’t let anyone use my house. You’re not filming shit in my house So they were like, “Well, we got an air bnb.” I Zillow it and it’s $1.1 million, the price of a house. Located in New Smyrna. It’s in]fucking Nowheresland. I don’t have enough land in my backyard for a pool table, much less a pool. It’s the most expensive piece of shit I’ve ever seen in my life. there is nothing there.
How he and Foley joked that air BnB was ridiculous:
I got in there, so me and Mick basically did the whole comedy thing. I took him outside and said, [yard].’ The backyard would never… I wouldn’t pay $400,000 for that house. We shot inside, but it’s basically torn in place all along, so I don’t see how they could be used. “Yeah, this isn’t my house. It’s Airbnb.” This is where my career ended, and no one thinks I had this bad career ending with this builder grade. [house]The two rear bedrooms are carpeted. Carpeting wasn’t allowed unless it was Brady Bunch’s house.
How he approached taping with a playful mindset:
he is the host The first words out of my mouth were, “Do you know if I was the right host?” [laughs] He looked at me and said, ‘You’re kidding me right? Because you are lucky.
