The popular Metaverse game Altcoin, built on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain, is leveling up as the community reacts to the announcement of partnerships with two major celebrities.
The team behind GALA, a gaming blockchain built on Ethereum, recently announced They began developing a film with American actors Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mark Wahlberg.
“Just a little bit more information about your ongoing work with The Rock and Mark Wahlberg.
GALA is also a gas token for GoGalaFilms and GoGalaMusic!”
After finding fame as a professional wrestler, The Rock jumped into acting, most recently appearing in a number of blockbusters, including Black Adam. Mark Wahlberg started his career as a musician with his groups Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch before making the jump to the silver screen. It’s unclear if the two celebrities are working on film projects together with Gala or separately.
The announcement made yesterday seems to have spurred the gaming token’s massive hit.
GALA is trading at $0.0467 at the time of writing, a huge leap of 71% in the last 24 hours. Gaming tokens have risen 144% over the last three days.
GALA is primarily a gaming platform partly owned and operated by players. It allows players to own in-game items and determine the direction of game development. GALA tokens will be used as a medium of exchange and as a means of payment and settlement in the ecosystem.
According to the announcement, GALA is also focusing on blockchain film and music segments Go Gala Film and Go Gala Music.
